How to setup a Passkey using Microsoft Authenticator

Download Microsoft Authenticator:
- Install the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Sign In to Authenticator:
- Open the app and sign in with your Microsoft account. If you are using it for the first time, tap Add work or school account or the + button to add your account.
- Create a Passkey:
- Once signed in, tap your account, then select Create a passkey. You may need to complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) to proceed.
- Enable Authenticator as a Passkey Provider:
- On your device, go to Settings > General > Autofill & Passwords (iOS 18) or Settings > Passwords > Password Options (iOS 17). Ensure that AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys are turned on, and select Authenticator under Autofill From.
1. Confirm Passkey Addition:
- After returning to the Authenticator app, tap Done to confirm that you have added Authenticator as a passkey provider. Your passkey will now be available as a sign-in method for your account.
